Like AIDS, it has no permanent cure for the time being.
However, like many pharmaceutical companies and research institutions involved in finding a cure for AIDS, IV is working on a project to cure retrogression (equivalent of the HIV virus that causes AIDS).
Like AIDS, there are no time lines, promises, or guarantees that a cure will be found for AIRED. However, patients report some improvements with formulations like EAD and AP. :)

This is a law violation and I have URL for it. In fact, the law also says that there is a 10% quota for each month.
As I have posted earlier there are other issues. Thus, this is another issue and not the whole issue.
Pursuing this issue and violations of name checking does not get us much. They can cancel some GCs issued but still not accept July AOSs.
We need to concentrate on issues that support accepting July AOSs.

they circumvented that by pre-alloting the numbers to cases

I and my wife have been SCREAMING, FIGHTING for over four years now. We are now so frustrated that we have EVEN DISCUSSED THINGS LIKE TAKING UP OUR LIVES !!! I really mean it. For both of us, our career is the single most important thing.
We had decided to wait for our next step in life like having a kid or putting in a big investment till we both at least have a job. Inspite of both of us having Masters degress from US universities, we are both suffering - me languishing in a filthy job and my wife on H4 - for the past 5 years !!! She is now more than 35 making it difficult to have kids etc...
I don't have the choice of going back to my home country due to many other personal reasons. I just don't know what to do... I am losing my sanity.
Many of us are in the same position as you are and most of us understand your pain...We sympathise with you...
One has to learn to find happiness is small things in life..Reading a good book..Doing something constructive always helps...
Well...Getting the green card is not the pinnacle of success in life...That is again merely another start. Another day I read a story about a person who got green card in 2 years and went bankrupt in another year because of big medical bills....Adversity is alway gonna be there in one form or other..one just needs to face it..

Tell me what wrong he did for him to apologize and I will apologize to you. When nothing is permanent he worked with them for 1 and half years, he got them 4 employees. Why in the world should he apologize?.
When you say that you will not need your clients you are wrong. when I was searching for projects I got a chance to apply to a job opening in one of my previous client, guess what, the start to my second stint was smooth just because I had a good rapport with my client and they liked my work. I even got one of my team mates in my client place to give me a referral for my higher studies.
"Your ex boss is not a bad guy, he knows you are leaving for better opportunity".He is not only a bad guy, he is evil IF (note the big IF) he is keeping the money which is not his. Their conscience should prick when they feed and give excellent education to their kids with the ill gotten money.
Unfortunately one might need his ex-employer in future (might not always be the case) and that is the irony of it all.
I feel the same..you will always need the ex clients than ex employer.
Why you need the experience letter?
Appointment letter is good enough for green card purposes and as far as reference letter, I always got them from client.
There are 2 issues.

2. Non compete agreement.

My date will be current next month. But I got fingerprinting notice, and the appointment is on Sep 17th . Does that means will I have to wait until my FP is done to get the approval?. Please suggest me is there any way I can get my FP done prior to the scheduled date. This is my 2nd FP notice. First one was in Feb 2008.

I am going to complete my 180 days by 1st week of Decemeber. The company I work for, is offering me a Project Manager position. My labor is filed for a programmer. I asked my lawyer and he told me that they sent a email to Florida State Workforce Agency to classify my new position and depending on the reply he tells me that I may or maynot port my labor.
Is anyone in the same boat? Is there any work around? I have been on H1 for 10 years now working for the same company (2 yrs as Contractor and 8 as employee), they have screwed me many times, I just don't want another disappointment. If this does not work, then I guess I have switch another company....

I can very well relate to your desperation and anger, but please don't react emotionally. The legal or technical fact remains that no-one guranteed us GC and truth of the matter is most of us said "No" when immigration officer asked " do you have plans to settle in State?" So their is no question of equitable treatment.

After 2005, I changed my mind and we had applied twice (me and my spouse) and hence we marked yes on the question whether any immigrant application was filed on our behalf. No we did not lie there. And even if many people did, do you think those who come from Europe or visa free countries mark "yes" when they apply first time? So your point is moot there. Most people from visa free countries come here work here visa free and go back. They never even get asked a question. How come we get fingerprinted, photographed twice, interrogated twice and yet targeted when it comes to GC?
I am not against capitalism but I am against fighting injustice such as you dont get GC because you were born in India. And yes change will come but if we dont do anything we get nothing.

I resonate the feelings of all on this forum, God bless you and your family, these are some thoughts coming to my mind... all might not be feasible in your case so take what you think might help the current situation and make an informed decision.
- Find an "good" immigration lawyer, most immigration lawyers are very community minded, they might also help you without any fees.
- There is a huge fiji community in US I am talking about well established business people (especially in automobile industry) who can help in applying a H1 visa for your wife as a backup and also meet local politicians, and take an infopass appointment to know what really happens to such cases like yours.
- Since you are a Indian Citizen you can go to India for a second opinion if you prefer to, there are great Doctors who studied in US and went back to start their own clinics. Canada is another country who gives free health care and have a shorter immigration process.
- Life in India will also be less expensive if you decide to live there with your savings of 8 years, you might want to look into India's policy on Fiji citizen immigration if your wife/children are Fiji citizens.
- I am sure you must have looked into cancer survivor stories, stem cell research, marrow transplant, blood transfusion and treatment options.
- Last but not least, concentrate on getting better - fight back, also look into your life insurance options, property papers and write a Will.

Wonder if you happened to mention the time line question? One section in the "Guest Worker" chapter says it can not be implemented 90s before the study, would that only cover the "Guest Worker" section or the whole bill? The house will try their best to push an enforcement first approach, if they gain more on that, then we might end up with a bill passed but never take effect. That would be the worst situation.
Today I spoke to a Representative who deals with immigration issue at Sen Mike Dewine's (R-OH) office. I spoke to him for 15 minutes to understand what he and his senator think about this CIR.
Here is he and his senator feels about this bill. It is difficult for him to say that when CIR bill will be introduced in senate floor . It depend on Majority and Minority leaders to decide. Majority leader told to the media that he will introduce before the end of the may, he is mostly consistent, but there are several bills where he has committed a timeline and till today it is not on the floor.
However he told that once CIR pass, legal immigration is already taken care of, but if it does not passes there are bills like SKIL which will be put before the floor. But CIR has to fail or pass before you see this SKILL bill on the floor.
