Go to uscis.gov, click on the "case status online" link on the left, then click on the "register" link on the left. Then follow instructions ...
Once you have created a "portfolio" with the SRC/EAD numbers... there will be atable with LUD dates. Soft LUD is just a LUD without any change in status message. Hard LUD is when there is an actual update in status.

I am a Jul 23rd I-485 filer. Just called USCIS second time (first time no success), went thru their menu and was lucky to get a great Cust Service Rep.
She asked me the I-485 receipt #s, address, primary contact #, DOB, and Zip Code for self and spouse.
She generated a SR for us together and gave us a Conf # for FP notice. She said that you should receive a FP appt notice in next 30 days.
So I guess, perseverance does pay off :)
Hopefully we can get this FP out of the way soon enough.
FYI I am a Bay Area resident.
I am not sure if opening SR helps, especially for TSC. I opened SR 30 days ago and still waiting. They have not scheduled me yet for an appointment.

We landed in Canada (Rainbow Bridge, Niagara) last week. No questions asked by Canadian immigration regarding stay in US. On the way back (Rainbow Bridge) US IO did not ask anything about 485 or Canada PR.
We filed AOS in July 2007 and have valid H1 visa in the passports. But it all depends on your luck and we had some personal reasons to land in Canada and we took the risk.

In that case I have to ask you this - what makes you think I am "imposing" (whatever THAT means) high standards on myself? Were you trying to shoot down my arguments by false accusations? I am maintaining the same "standard" as the next guy.
If you read my previous post with attention, you'll see that I have said I did not convey my intentions clearly. So again, if you're simply trying to shoot down what ever I am saying, well, I really can't stop you. I agree with you on the fact that this is extremely frustrating. Believe me I can feel your pain. However all I am saying is, put your faith in the IV core for a more long term solution, where ALL EB categories benefit. This is a **NOT** a quick strike mission as we have seen for the past 4 years or more. The system is HORRIBLY broken. You cant try and put a bandaid on a foot long laceration. I am sure the idea of a quick fix appeals to a lot of people and I dont blame them either. Everyone on here wants to get their GC and get this mess over with.
I have full faith in the IV core and I know they are working on it as we speak... but Eb3_Nepa we cannot let our guard down against USCIS and I know very well that this is a long term mission.. but we can still do some quick strikes and weaken the enemy before the kill... or would u rather just wait another 3-4 years before the final kill ??
( playing too much of the RTS games because of the apparent frustration ..)
Anyways.. I am with the core and will always support whatever they do, because it will be good for the community as a whole.

Interesting... looks like they set up some kind of automatic system ... I got an email as well for "Card production ordered" for me and my spouse a few minutes back... unfortunately it is not for GC but EAD...

All mine and my spouse's applications were transfered to Vermont. my I-140 was approved from TSC. My checks were cashed on July17th and that is how I know that it is pending at VSC.
Yesterday I got an email that Card production ordered for EAD. All applications applied on July 6th. I am not sure on what basis they transfered. But it looks like Vermont has started approving the EAD cards. Hopefully, I will get it soon too in the mail.

This is my understanding. Please take time to read INA, I485 application and current VB.
1. The category of the derivative and quota of derivative is not related to I485.
All that matter at the time of derivative I485 application is the
a) primary's priority date is current
b) primary's I485/AOS application pending.
read the I485 application again Part2 option b. "My spouse or parent applied for adjustment of status or"
Gurus, Forum-Attorneys, IV-Core, feel free to correct me.
2. We are more concerned about the quota. where the derivative falls. I strongly believe they must be out of EB2 quota and placed under FB2A.
There may be a chance that Eb2 india will touch 2008 in a year. and F2b will be at 2006. How dependet can file 485 as if they counted against F2A their date is not current.

Generally speaking two recent pay stubs are sufficient to verify that you remain with the same employer. It is possible that if your petition is pending for more than 10 or 12 months, either a job offer letter or additional pay stubs will be requested.
So you were not referring to Employment Letter for GC job, rather Current Employment Letter while discussing how to file I-485.

Either the US Consulate got the EB-3 India date wrong or there was a typo in the Oct Visa Bulletin. I wish/hope there was a typo in the bulletin and Mumbai consulate got it right....Cut Off Dates- Consulate General of the United States Mumbai, India (http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/cut_off_dates.html)..But it seems they might have copied the date from China column of the visa bulletin...
