Hi mnq1979,
The application was filed with CSC as all nos., which I have seen, are WAC nos. EAD was issued from CSC on (and I am guessing here) 18th, left from KY (40701) on 20th Sept (according to post mark) and reached my house on the 22nd Sept. If it was India and if the post man had delivered this to me, I would definitely have given him something for "mithaai" :D
It was only 3 days ago I had got the transfer notice from CSC saying that they had move our cases to TX.
I got the cards directly as my lawyer had not sent me the application no. yet. There were no notices for EADs.
More than me, my wife is happy that she wouldn't have to sit around feeling like a "dependent" ;).
I belive my situation is the same as urs....i received mine and my wife I-485 receipts in mail but nothing related to EAD. My case is also transferred to TSC from California on Sep. 17 as my I140 is approved from TSC.
I want to ask u that how long did it take u to get ur EAD card after u received ur I485 receipt and from where ur EAD was issued, is it from CSC or TSC.
Did u received any receipt of EAD or u jst got the EAD directly.
Pls. advise. thanx

I landed on December 2009 on a Sunday and did the visa stamping on monday, for the h1 they asked status in canada and i said i landed yesterday; got the visa stamp but in the annotations it says canadian resident; got through the POS without problems

Is there premium for I485?
I am not a lawyer but as far as I know there is no Premium for 485. They mentioned they will want to do it at some point in the future but it is not yet available for this application.

You need to register on uscis.gov (case status online), you will need your receipt numbers (you can enter rect. nos. from I-140, 485, 765, h1 ext. etc). You will get an email as soon as your case has been approved/rfe/noid etc.
When you get an email due to any change and the text changes in your case status it is called Hard LUD, if nothing changes in the case but your file has been touched then it is called soft LUD.
There can be several reasons for soft lud.

Your strategy is to go against her own bill to recapture greencards that she introduced for us last year.
I think this is wrong.
Recapture is a good option if you want to do it right. Otherwise all ROW will oppose you. How are you different than the guys who open threads against Telgus or EB3 vs EB2 or against Muslims.
What you are doing is only dividng the community. My collegues who are also IV members are upset reading that someone in IV is pursuing a one point agenda against ROW. We need to stop and think. A lot of ROW are quiet members on IV forum and they will be upset.
Country caps can only be supported if there is recapture or increase in visa numbers.

Yes, I've read it before in this post that there is no connection between LUD(Last Updated Date) and Receipt Notice.

I had taken an infopass appointment after filing an SR. All the IO said was I should call NSC. I don't think the IO's at the local USCIS office can issue FP notices.
Shall try again sometime this week or next and update the same here. I am a NSC->CSC->NSC transferee.

Just saw my cheque cashed.. I think it got transferred over to TSC. I sent to NSC on Jul 2. And yes i had LUD in my I-140 as 7/28
can you tell by the images of cashed checks that were they cashed by TSC or NSC... or any kind of SRC# or LIN# on them to indicated whether it was cashed by TSC or NSC?

Absolutely agree :) However, keep in mind that if one door is closed because of not getting/delay in getting GC, there are other options too.
A good example is EAD & AC21 for people who do not want to stagnate in their careers. Now you might say that using AC21/EAD has risks, but then remember the old adage "no risk, no gain".
If we expect life to hand us everything on a silver platter, and get depressed if that does not happen we just ruin our happiness & peace of mind.

Apparently, that guy is from ROW, and pretend being an Indian. otherwise, why he does not know India itself is a huge country with so many different languages, cultures, etc? isn't that diverse enough?
EB based GC should NOT have Quota (.) We are already IN the system. How will it effect diversity. Diversity visa are meant for divesrsity. EB is skill based and only skill should be cared for,
