Guys
I got all my receipts today (Mine and my wife receipts)...My case is
Received by J.Barrett at 10:25 AM at NSC, Case transferred to TSC on 08/05/2007 (Based on LUD). Notice Date is 09/04/2007.
My I-140 is from TSC. I know what I went through this whole 70 day process, but as the saying goes 'There is light at the end of the tunnel'.
Thanks IV...I owed that I pay some money towards the rally and will do that now.

Residents: 114,200, plus the number (if any) by which the worldwide family preference level exceeds 226,000, and any unused first preference numbers:
The priority date will be same as the primary because the law states that primary and dependents have the same priority date. FB 2 is almost same priority dated as EB 1,2 and 3 preferences.
Primary -> Gets visa number from EB 1,2 or 3
Dependents -> Gets visa number from FB2
Wife and children need not wait because FB2 is not that retrogressed.

Very well written. We need this kind of language material to present to our friends. You got my contribution. How do I donate $20? I don't see tab for that money on page. Minimum for one time contribution I see is $100. Also is there any way that I do not have to use paypal and directly use my cc to pay?
Also not all of us are as good in writing or speaking the same language. I am glad you understand the pains of IV core but unfortunately all of us have not gone through the same things as you have. So we surely need some convincing on part of IV. This post I see is right step. I need some more info to present to my friends, as to why they should contribute. That would be perfect.

Thanks for the update. Let me share my concern with the CIR. Do you think that someone (lawmakers) is going to officially vote for the CIR to die? I don't believe so. Discussions, debates, political bickering and fingerpointing can drag on for months and even years because no one is officially willing to kill it for obvious political reasons. How long do you think we (IV) can wait until we start pushing for other bills?

1) 181 Days wait period
2) "Intent to hire in future" Letter on the last day of the job
3) Copy of "Employment Letter" submitted for 485
4) Copy of certified labor
5) Copy of approved I-140
6) Original 485 receipt and original receipts of AP and EAD if applicable
7) Original pay stubs for this 181 days period
Bad Relations with X

All above. Copy of I-140 approval (Or just LIN/SRC No would do too),
Labor certification number and copy of 485 receipts ARE MUST.
Paystubs anyway you will get. In case if "employment letter" is not

While I feel the same pain that you do, what I would like to state is:
H1 is an unique employment scenario. H1s are hired to fill in shortages and hence employers are under no obligation to consider H1s ahead of green card holders or US citizens.
Also any good company that you want to work for will consider all candidates based on their skills and not the visa status.
So the company that says only GC holders or USC may not be a good company to work for in the end.

Like my title says - Could it be a mistake on their part for EB3 I ? Was it meant to be 15th April 2002 ?
In March of This year it was 15th Oct 2001. Then it goes to U for untli Oct and now its 15th April 2001 (gone back 6 months !!!!) This seems odd for a new fiscal year with new Visa Quota however small EB3I may be - are there still that many 2000-2001 applications pre-adjudicated in the system waiting for a visa that they had to roll it back ?

H1B quotas for 2001, 2002 and 2003 were 195000. Three times the norm. This could be the reason they quotas were not met during those years. Sure market conditions also helped.
I thinks EB3 INDIA will move between 9/11/2001 to JAN 2004 , because after 9/11 probably few people applied for GreenCrd because of market condition, even h1b quotas are not used for 2002 and 2003, i applied for h1b on 2004 April , no surprise the quota available because of market condition.

I'm seeing lots of folks being greened whose PD is after us. Is it possible that they have PD on their 485 (because I-140 concurrently filed) and so it was picked up by officer? I guess it's not.
In response to infopass officer's request to expedite, I received letter from USCIS (within a week) . It shows my receipt# correct but shows filing date 10/10/2007. Actually, this is receipt date of case transfer to TSC from NSC.
The filing date on SR is manually entered by the person opening the SR. It has got nothing to do with your real filing date. All that matters on the SR is your A#.

I guess country quota was an idea to make sure that nationals from one country don't become a voting bloc ..plain and simple ..and hence illegal immigration became such a hot topic since it seemed that mexicans would become a huge voting bloc ...

CIR will likely not be VOTED dead. There just will not be anything done about naming a Conference committee. If a committee is indeed named, but they don't produce a report in 2-3 weeks, then CIR would be deemed dead.
The bottom line is, if nothing happens by the end of July, CIR will likely be dead.
We will be looking at other options much before the end of July. The problem for us is that no other legislation will be considered before the end of July.
